The Government of Maharashtra on September 24, 2026, issued a notification regarding the amendment in GR related to the consent fee rates charged by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board for establishing industries, commencing production, and for consent letters issued to mining projects.
The following has been stated: -
•Maharashtra Government has amended its August 25, 2026 Resolution on consent fee calculations under the Air and Water Pollution Control Guidelines.
•Micro and Small enterprises in notified industrial areas can obtain deemed Consent to Establish by submitting a self-certified Form-I.
•Revised fee structures have been prescribed for local bodies, infrastructure projects, diesel generator sets and healthcare establishments.
•A single-step procedure is introduced for consent under the Air and Water Acts and applicable waste-management authorisations, with 5% of consent fees credited to CPCB as a service fee.
